This collection contains the Ladies Memorial Association minute book, 1867-1897, including a unsigned note from Robert E. Lee that he regrets not being able to attend their meetings; an account book, 1867-1897, with information on the merger with the United Daughters of the Confederacy; a letter to the United Daughters of the Confederacy accepting the offer for a merger; a scroll containing a copy of a letter, 1879, from George Wymberley Jones DeRenne, presenting a bronze statue to the Association; and a letter from DeRenne to the Association, 1880, thanking them for the scroll and telling the origin of the statue.
